A car seat review on the Evenflo Gold Revolve360 Rotational Convertible Carseat and how it has changed my life.

evenflo car seat

I am going to give my car seat review for the Evenflo Gold Revolve360 Rotational Convertible Car seat. After having two children, one toddler and one baby, I am pretty sure getting the right car seat that fits your life is so difficult. By now, we have experienced 5 different types of car seats. We started our parenting journey with the Evenflo Pivot Modular Travel System. It came with the infant car seat, car seat base, stroller base, and toddler seat to go in the stroller base. This was amazing when we were parents of one baby. It grew with my son and we actually used the same system for my daughter when she was born.

As my son grew old, we bought a convertible car seat that was a little bulky, but it worked for my son. We knew it would grow with him and we wouldn’t need to get another car seat for a while.

The downsides to that car seat were:

  • It was big and bulky
  • It was not easy to get my toddler in and out of as he grew bigger (and heavier)
  • There was not an easy adjustment device to tighten the strap that was anchored down

The upsides were:

  • It was safe
  • My child could grow with the car seat

Carseat Guidelines

Before I get to the car seat review, I want to touch on the importance of following car seat guidelines. Each car seat comes with specific instructions on installation and age requirements for different positions (rear-facing, forward-facing). It is so important to pay attention and follow these guidelines. This is the difference between a child being very hurt in an accident and saving their life.

You can refer to the Safe Kids Basic Careseat Tips to read national regulations of car seats, installation of car seats, and rules on use.

Where Can I Get My Carseat Installed/Inspected

Did you know you can get your car seat installed by professionals who are trained to do so? You can go to National Child Passenger Safety Certification and search your zip code to find the nearest installation location. For me, it is our local police departments, fire departments, and American Ambulance locations. I think this is a great tool to use, especially when you are a new parent trying to figure out car seat installation. Every time I install a new car seat, I leave the car sweating because it just is not easy to do. I recommend following the instructions very carefully to make sure your child will be as safe as possible.

What to Consider When Buying a Carseat

1. Safety Rating

Moms tend to spend a lot of money on car seats with higher safety ratings simply because it is important! In America, if a car seat is not safe, it just isn’t hitting the store shelf. You can feel confident that when you purchase a car seat and it is installed correctly, your child will be safe. It is very important to send in the recall insert card. You just put your contact information on it and if there is ever a recall, they have a way to contact you. I always send these back especially since you may not hear about every single recall.

2. Customer Review

If you are anything like me, you look at at least 10 customer reviews, both good and bad, before spending money on something. I have found that most people will complain before they take the time to write out a positive review. I tend to take negative reviews lightly unless they are claiming a safety issue and it is on more than one occasion.

3. Ease of Installation

Take this lightly because NO car seat is easy to install. From the car seats that I have bought and installed, they have been quite similar. They all have a similar if not the same latch system.

4. Size/Weight

I am going to talk more about size when we talk about car size, however, if you notice that it looks like a bulky car seat and you do not think you can manage it or get it in your car yourself, you might want to bypass it. Remember that you could always take it to a car seat installation location as mentioned earlier to have it properly installed. Carseats are definitely heavy, so when you purchase them, make sure you can get the box in and out of the car for installation!

5. Car Size

I have a large SUV and the car seats still take up my backseat. If you have a small sedan, you should look into the Graco Slimfit. This may suit the smaller back seat. This is the car seat we grabbed for my daughter after my husband traded in his SUV for a small sedan. You also want to make sure your child’s feet aren’t going to be squished again the seat in front of them.

6. Compatibility

Is this a good car seat for your child? Are they already 40lbs and will reach the exceeded weight soon? Would you prefer to be able to take your newborn out in a carrying infant car seat? All of these questions are important to ask yourself!

7. Features

Some features I enjoy about some car seats are reclining features, cup holders, and adjustable headrests. You want your car seat to grow with your little one so you do not have to purchase multiple car seats for one child. Is it easy to level the car seat in the car? Is it easy to remove?

8. Price

Finding the right car seat might mean getting one in your price range. The amazing thing about car seats is that they are usually a one-time purchase. They may be expensive upfront, but worth it since you can use them for years!

One way to save on the cost of car seats is to take advantage of the Target Carseat Trade-in Event. You bring in an old car seat and get a 20% coupon. This works if you have an old car seat laying around. If you don’t, open a Target Red Circle account for 5% off. Carseats go on sale rather often! Keep checking Target, Walmart, and Amazon for deals.

Rakuten

Don’t forget money-saving apps! Apps such as Rakuten. Get $30 when using my link here! Rakuten gives you a percentage of cashback when making purchases through your Rakuten account. This is a great app that helps you save money on purchases you are already buying! You can even buy gift cards and earn cashback from those purchases as well.

Child Size

Finally, I am going to tell you how purchasing this car seat has made putting our baby in and out of the car so much easier. Before I do that, let me tell you a little bit about the car seat itself! This is a great car seat for a child between 4 lbs and 120 lbs and 17 inches to 57 inches. This is great since it can grow with our kids.

Car Seat Review

The Evenflo Gold Revolve360 car seat is by far the best purchase I made this year for my baby. Putting her in and out is insanely easy. For all of the reasons above, I decided to try it out. It fits great in my car, was quite easy to install, and even easier to use each day. My daughter is very safe in that car seat, she is comfortable, and we have had no issues so far.

It comes in a variety of colors, however, some colors are out of stock at the time of this review. All this means is that more and more moms out there are finding out how great this car seat is.

I have a few friends that are pregnant right now and I raved so much about this car seat that they changes the car seat on their baby registry.

Comparison

In this car seat review, I wish I could compare it to other swivel car seats on the market, but there isn’t one. For its swivel capabilities, there is no other car seat like it! In comparison to other car seats, the size is very similar. It could appear big in a small sedan car. Larger car seats make putting children in and out of the car. However, the swivel feature makes it easy to remove your child so the larger size does not necessarily matter. The only time that it might matter is if you cannot safely install it due to a very small backseat. If you are looking for a slimmer-fit car seat, I highly recommend the Graco SlimFit.

In comparison to other car seats, it was mostly easy to install. The only trouble I had was removing the seat portion off of the base to install the base. I will admit that I tried to do the installation without reading the instructions very clearly and I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THAT! Save yourself time and be very safe with car seat installation and read all of the directions very carefully. Once I got the seat off, it was smooth sailing.

Please read all instructions thoroughly prior to installation to save you time and make sure your child is safe!

In discussing the price of this car seat, I mentioned earlier that it wasn’t cheap. I highly recommend using some sort of way to save money either through a product sale, or a cashback app such as Rakuten, gift cards, etc.

The amount of time I save with the swivel system is like no other. Literally, is like no other because there are no other swivel car seats!

It saves my back from twisting as I lift her up and into the car seat. As she grows older and becomes heavier, it will be so insanely easy.

Final Thoughts

After this car seat review, you can probably tell there are more positives than negatives for this car seat. After having this car seat for two months, I cannot recommend the Evenflo Gold Revolve360 Rotational Convertible Carseat enough. I would recommend it to any mom or mom-to-be over and over again. If we have any more children, I would most definitely get it again. The best way you can decide if a product is worth reviewing and recommending is if you would buy it again and again.

I would buy it again. And again.

XOXO

Olivia
